How do I know if I need a new roof?

If your roof is over 20 years old, you’re probably due. Look for curling or loose shingles, granules washing into your gutters, or daylight coming through your attic boards. Leaks that keep coming back even after roof repair are a sign that the entire roof has reached the end of its life. Water damage in your attic or ceiling stains inside the house are other clear indicators. We offer free inspections, so you don’t have to guess.

How long does a roof installation take?

Asphalt shingles usually take one day for a typical home. Standing seam metal roofing takes longer, usually one to two weeks, because the panels are custom-fabricated and installed with more precision. Size, complexity, and weather conditions can shift these timelines a bit. Most contractors will give you an accurate schedule once they see your roofing project.

What happens if you find damage during installation?

Once the old roof comes off, we inspect the roof deck for rot, mold, or soft spots. If we find damaged decking or framing, we’ll show you what needs replacing and give you a price before moving forward. Sometimes we find protruding nails or gaps that weren’t visible from the surface. You’ll never get surprised with hidden costs after the fact.

Do you offer a warranty on your installations?

Yes. GAF-backed warranties cover the roofing materials, and our workmanship warranty covers the installation. We’ll walk you through what’s covered and for how long before you sign anything.

Yes. We work in sections, so your house is never completely exposed. If rain shows up in the forecast, we tarp everything and pick back up when weather conditions improve. Can you really install a roof in one day?

Yes, for most asphalt shingle roofs. We start early with a full crew, pull off the old shingles, inspect the decking for damage, install new underlayment and starter strip, and then work our way up row by row. Ridge caps go on last. The entire process moves quickly when you have experienced installers and the right roofing materials staged and ready.

Should I try DIY roof installation or hire a contractor?

Roofing work is labor-intensive and requires specific safety precautions. You need the right tools, like a nail gun, a pry bar, a utility knife with a hook blade, tin snips for cutting metal flashing, and a chalk line for keeping rows straight.
